Where are my recordings processed?+
On your Mac. Recording, transcription, summaries and meeting chat run locally. Only license and payment details go to our license service and Paddle.
What do I need to run it?+
An Apple Silicon Mac on macOS 14.4 or later, plus about 7 GB of space for the speech and language models, which download once.
How is it different from Otter.ai or Fireflies.ai?+
Those send a bot into your meeting and process the audio on their servers. QuietScribe captures audio on your Mac and processes it there.
